A notice is being published for the allocation of 5 awards reserved for Trentino emigrants abroad and their descendants, for participation, through the Internet, in an on-line degree course in Italian language and culture, delivered by the Consortium of Italian Universities, ICoN (Italian Culture on the Net).

The degree course lasts for a period of three years and will take place in Italian, through the Internet.

For access to the degree course an adequate knowledge of the Italian language and a certain familiarity with tools for navigation on the web are fundamental. It is therefore necessary to have a computer, a modem allowing connection to the Internet and an E-mail address for contact with the administration office. The cost of connection to the Internet will be the responsibility of the student.

Communication with the tutor who assists students during the course is asynchronous (i.e. not in real time or live); the teaching material can be downloaded and studied off-line, whereas the exercises are carried out exclusively on-line. The course work (namely the number of hours and the choice of when to study) is organized in an individual and autonomous manner. It is possible to concentrate study in your free time, downloading the educational material whenever you want.

At the end of each semester the students go to the nearest authorized IcoN centre, according to an agreed schedule, to take the examinations, organized in regular and controlled manner.

At the end of the course a first degree qualification is awarded, which is entitled to full legal recognition according to Italian law.

Candidates should be aware that it is a degree course and as such involves constant and continuous commitment.
